Abrasive beams of light
Stripping away
Layer after layer
Of sanity’s bright
Contrasting with
The darkest night
Of souls
Wandering lonesome and
lost in delight.
Stealing away
The sunny eyes
of viewpoints skewed
By a million years
Of heart pounding
Gut wrenching
Existential plight.
Even god’s
Got a fortune
Riding on
the slipstream
Of this thrown and
Downtown bustling
Joke of a pointlessly
Love infused fight.
