Little pills

How many little pills
Will it take to forget you?
Small and white and
Round and bitter.
How many before
I hit the floor?
How many will it take
To undo all the wrong
That this whole world’s
Gone through?
How many little pills
To forget about me
And my convoluted
View of things?
How many
Can I handle or
How many
Before I’m gone?
