Red Dot Special

I have gone
Over the hills
Into the land
Where shadows walk.

I have heeded
Every warning.
All your curses are
Merely irritations.

I had prepared
My spirit
But my body
Was not ready.

In that land
Over the hills
I finally surrendered
To the sky.

Too bad.

All I got
In return
Was this insipid
Extra eye.

  1. Into the lands where shadows walk, that’s a great image and the rest is also a great tell into a world that only some of us have seen
