Passageways

Invisible trickeries
Slink past the wall
Sulking as they go
As if the world
Would have given them
More of the same
Had they only
Been thankful
For their bodily remains.
Instead
Hope is lost and
The vision stalks
Effortless desires
Of needless needle sketches
And fine rows of remarks
Taking back the hall
And turning it dark.
