Lifetime Story

Lonely songs ring out
Their dismissive longings,
Taking cues from
Fortnight harmonies
Long reverberating patterns
Into wall after wall.

A permanence etched
Into more years than
Just a stone can hold.

The ambience of life
In perpetual stories
On and on and
Lifetimes old.
