Erinyes

Three fates mete out distance
Like assistance for the poor.
The second one she measures
While the third she cuts the cord.
The first merely holds on tight
Only clinging to your little life
From where it begins.
And the cord is so thin.
Halfway’s hands aren’t always steady
As she prepares for the end already.
