Monster

I am a monster
Drooling blood from slavering jaws
And tearing hearts apart
With my formidable claws.
Blood drips from wood beam ceilings,
Guts hang from the walls.
Death becomes my mistress
Without any hope at all.
And if you’re afraid
Just remember this is me.
I have always been hidden this way.
I can set your broken heart free
With one well placed nick
Of your beautiful veins.
Remember this is me.
I have never been more sane.
