Beautiful Girl

Beautiful girl
How I’ve dared to remind you
Of my all consuming quest to find you.
Now that I have you
I can’t let go.
I’ll hold your heart. We’ll take things slow.
Give yourself to me.
Let’s dance before my fall.
A twist of a wrist and I’m your thrall.
Just promise me
You’ll still be there
With raw audacity enough to care.
It’s all so unlikely
But a man can dream
While a woman tears him apart at the seams.
