So Much for Sanity

The weather calls for freezing rain
And I’ve known all along
There’s disaster to come.
If only I had stockpiled more.
If only I had taken halves
And kept the rest to safely store.
Now reserves are running thin.
I’ll have nothing by the end
As desolation rushes in.
I’ll be right there.
I can’t be truant
For the fall of my heart.
I’ll just sit back and watch
All my sanity depart.
Fucking sleet and
Fucking snow
Have left me with no place to go.
I’ll miss my appointment date
And all I’ve left to do is wait
For insanity to begin
And rock bottom as i fall
Begins to ascend.

  1. It at least makes for another great poem. I wish you the best!
