Spanish Gold

I sold my heart
In cold caduceus
Of Spanish gold.
Metallic vines
Once coiled
To the tune of horror.
The trinity
Of mourning
Of loss and grief.
Carried close
In tattered envelope
For too many years.

One Night Soon

One night soon
We’ll hold each other
In promised secrets
One by one.
I’ll wrap my words around you
Long enough to fall apart
Before I’m lost again
In my mind.
Casting warmth to my secrets
Until the end of time.

One night soon
We’ll know each other
As if a wish could
Come to life.
So many years
I’ve searched for you
In empty life
Devoid of light.
I want you to love me
As any mother might.

Night Dreams

What is there left for the night to dream of
In a slow revolutionary moment?
The thirteenth year since the seconds died
And drip-drop shadows shifted in time
To the shimmer of loss as a mind rearranges.
Changes scheming in empty places.
Possessed by you forever
And the night dreams won’t cease
Where I’m butchered and beaten and eaten alive
All by your love while I lay here and die.
